It’s such an easy treatment for this, my mind is boggled by the fact that no vet could just do this.

My dog now has a hematoma in his other ear (his first hematoma was fixed with five drainings and steroid injections), he is BLEEDING my other dog has lesions on her stomach now.
I want to buy revolution and treat it myself immediately. But I don’t know if I can because I just gave them frontline plus on Nov 1 AND my dog has a liver problem.
My vet was off today but he called me back. He said yes there could be problems, it’s up to me I "could try it".

This is the FOURTH vet. And I’ve been to 2 others in this area they’re awful. This one is the best one but he leaves all the decisions up to me because he doesn’t know what to do. I don’t either!!!

to use revolution for a mange infestation, it has to be given every 2 weeks I read so it will be an overdose even without the frontline but that’s the treatment
I already have mite bites on me but they aren’t as bad as my dogs at all. but they’re typical sarcoptic mange..on my knees, shoulders and had it on my ankles. they seem to go away on me in 2 weeks but i got them again.
One of my dogs (noncollie) was given the heartgard injection (not pill, it was a higher dose) and immediately she stopped itching for about 24 hrs, but then started again because my other dog wasn’t given the shot

My dog was diagnosed w/sarcoptic mange. She is getting injections to treat it, but I am worried about re-infestation. I can’t isolate her for 4-6 weeks while the shots begin to work and I am unclear on how often I should be cleaning everything she touches! I’ve cleaned everything in the house again and again, but how long until I can relax a little???

Okay I’ve been scouring the internet looking for some insight on this or for other people with the same problem but have turned up nothing. Okay I have a puppy that I rescued off of highway and she has sarcoptic mange, my older dog has also now contracted it. They are both inside dogs and I was wondering how I should go about treating my home for the mites after I bring them back from the vet. Im hoping to get them both shots of Ivermetcin (sp) and was wondering would that protect them while I clean and do laundry and stuff or should I find a way to keep them outside? Also has anyone ever tried that revolution products? Its relatively new and I was just trying to decide between the two because my puppy is small and Im afraid it could hurt her. Anyway, Would head lice spray be good to treat the environment. How long do mites live off the host. And will the mites on my husband and I go away once we have treated the dogs??? Please someone help. Im really at a loss here.

IVM liqiud for treatment of mange mites?
I bought a Pit Bull puppy. She is 6 months now. When I bought her I noticed 1 little spot on her head missing hair. I thought it was just from the pups playing rough. She has been to the vet for shots and spaying. I noticed another spot where she was losing hair. I asked the vet and he said it was common with the breed and to keep an eye on it. It got worse and I took her back to have it scraped and checked under a microscope. It turned out she has the non-contagious mange mites. I was given IVM liquid to give to her. My vet is closed today and I would just call and ask them. Anyways, she has diareaha real bad now. Does anyone here know the side effects of this medicine?

You will want to call your vet in the morning to get an anti-diarrheal medication for him. Check to make sure he isn’t dehydrated, (if you pull his skin up, does it stay there? that’s a sign of dehydration and also if you can feel his gums and they are dry or sticky, that is a sign too). If he is you may need to take him to the vet right away. If not offer him plenty of water until you can get him in. You might also want to give him some H2O in his food or give him some boiled chicken and rice with his food
Pits are prone to mange, my Search and rescue pit suffered from it off and on for over 2 years. okay i just rescued a dog from a animal shelter friday. i gave her a bath the next mourning since it was late when we got home and then today i noticed she had red bumps and scabs all over her belly so i took her to a vet. he gave her a shot for itching and some pills for 2 weeks for allergys and i said so this isnt mange that maybe my cat can get??? and then he didnt say anything for a while then finally said he could take a skin craping but its hard to find mange in a skin scraping so then he left the room and came back and said she did look like she had mange (after he gave me the pills and powder for skin and deworming) and said that if it doesnt clear up in a few days to come back so i said lets just treat her for mange now which he said was $35 dipping and he refused!!! he just wants another examination fee. anyways my cat has FIV i love him with everything i have and i am freaking out that if he gets it he might die because when you have something like FIV or HIV the smallest thing can take your life right!?!?! what should i do give my cat a bath incase of? my washing machine just broke today so all of the stuff the dog has touched is sitting there and i caught my cat laying on it im balling here please dont be negative just to be, but someone please tell me the truth on what i should do so my cat doesnt get it. i now i know i shouldnt have gotten a dog but i thought i was saving her life and i cant just go shove her back in the hole she came from but i am keeping her isolated from my cat. i read on a site cats cant get it from a dog unless its touching it frequntly but my cat is a big baby and last night curled up on the couch with me and the new dog and im so scared. i’ve done so good keeping my cat healthy for so long with this fiv and now this. im so scared. he litterly is my child. what should i do for him to stop it now!?!? btw right before i left the vets boxer(dog) came out and was sniffing my dog and the vet grabbed him by the collar and locked him in a room away from my dog, like hello he even thinks she has mange but wont treat her for it?!?! wtf!!!!! does he not understand i dont want my cats to get it i told him like 5 times and felt like an idiot. he was so unfriendly too and just picked my dog up under her arm and carried her with one of his arms while she wiggled.
